<description>The land formations in this vintage photograph of Gasparee Caves on Gasparee Island, also known as Gaspar Grande, off the north–west coast of Trinidad, British West Indies, resemble organ pipes, standing in water. Gasparee Island is an island made of limestone where an intriguing network of underground caves, caverns and sinkholes can be found. These are a result of a combination of wave action, rainfall and percolating ground-water dissolving the limestone. The caves are one of Trinidad’s tourist attractions.</description>
