A vast grassy field is in the foreground, a pavilion is situated near the horizon with numerous spectators standing in front of it and large trees and palms behind. Someone is mounted on a horse near the centre horizon. The first recorded horse race took place here in 1828 and horse racing continued here frequently until 1994.

Funding for this project has been provided by Mrs. Irma E.
