A vast verdant field is in the foreground, a pavilion is situated near the horizon with crowds of spectators standing in front of it and large trees behind. Someone is mounted on a horse to the right of the largest building. The first recorded horse race took place here in 1828 and horse racing at the Savannah ended in 1994.

Funding for this project has been provided by Mrs. Irma E.
