The words inscribed on the monument, “In honour of all who served. In memory of those who fell”, are almost readable. The stairs look clean and angular. Statues of armed soldiers, near the centre of the monument and the angel-like statue at the top are clearly visible. The monument, which is surrounded by palms, was placed here in honour of Trinidad and Tobago nationals who served and died in World Wars from 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. Two women and a child are visiting the monument.

Funding for this project has been provided by Mrs. Irma E.
