Underwaterarchaeological excavations, took place between 2001 and 2008. these investigationsrevealed that, in addition to those two shipwrecks, hulls of four different ships were also present on the seafloor. Twoof them have been identified as the French vessels Seine and Loire by comparing archival data to the archaeologicalrecord. The presence of so many shipwrecks in a secondary mooring of the west coast of Guadeloupe is explained by itstopographical characteristics and its proximity to Basse-Terre.</description> <date>2010</date> </dc> </metadata> </record> </GetRecord> </OAI-PMH>
